Twilight and Vampires

Went on a little Twilight and Vampire creating rage the past few stats that I have done. Here they are listed below for you. I’m sorry about the small size but for some reason “normal” pictures wouldn’t insert so I had to use the polaroid picture option. Links to download the letters are below each image.

If You Stay Download Here

If You Stay Border Download Here

Thanks for downloading my letters. I really do appreciate each of my readers and followers and group members. I know I have been terribly lax in creating for the Always List, and some of you have left.  That saddens me.  I promise to try and crank out about 3 or 4 new letters each month from now on.  So you have something to look forward to now LOL!

As always, if you are looking for matching tags to the stationery (most have them but not all) you can find the 2008 tags here and the latest tags here.

Thanks guys and gals!

New Link Download Location

As you know from previous posts, some of the links to my older letters here on the site where no longer any good. I had a hard drive crash and lost a lot of my letters.  A lovely friend of mine is going to be sending me the complete collection of TBK Designs letters she has later this month (thank you Tami!).

Until then, the ones that I did have available can be found here to download:

Let me know if you have any issues with downloading letters from here as well.

Love and Hugs,

Kimmi

Have I Got A Free Deal For YOU!

As most of you “old timers” know, I’ve gone back to college to get my degree in Information Technology and Web Design.  I am trying to put together a portfolio of work that I have created to show prospective employers within the next 6 months or so.  I am going to be applying for some internships and freelance work.

With that said, I’ve been looking for some “guinea pigs” who will let me design a blog background for them and set up their blogs with the awesomeness that is The Mad White Woman!  I finished one layout today, for Carolee over at Working in My Jammies And Loving It.  Stop by and take a look at it.

I have Paula (my adopted sister) and her F.A.B. 3 Munchkins lined up next, and then I’ll be working on Miss Behavin’s blog Maneuvering Motherhood after that.  So if any of you would like to let me redesign your blog for you, check out this post over at The Mad White Woman and leave your comment there.

Green Giveaway!

TMWW is proud to present our very first giveaway in honor of Earth Month!  Going green is not as difficult as you would imagine.  There are numerous ways in which you can help the environment, a lot of those we’ve posted here, but there are literally millions of ways you can help save the environment and prevent global warming.

Earth Hour was March 28th in which everyone turned off all their lights and appliances and (gasp!) computers too for one hour.  According to statistics at Earth Hour, participants across 25 time zones in over 4,000 cities and towns in 88 countries, hundreds of millions of people “voted earth” in the world’s largest demonstration of public concern about climate change.

My six year old son, Tre, told me yesterday that he wanted to help the environment and ‘make the earth happy again’ by taking part in the The Big Green Help Power Down pledge at Nickelodeon in which kids across the world will turn off all their lights and electronics for one minute at 9PM on April 22nd. We got online and he pledged to do his part.  He has already started early and has been my little ‘green’ helper…going around the house cutting off lights when nobody is in the room, turning off the television and radios, helping me with recycling – he’s a green advocate in the making I tell ya!

So what are you doing for Earth Day?  Did you participate in Earth Hour?  Have you been recycling?  Cut back on your water usage?  Composting for your garden?  Tell us!  We want to know!

TMWW is partnering with CoolPeopleCare, Inc. to give away to one lucky reader New Day Revolution – How to Save the World in 24 hours by Sam Davidson and Stephen Moseley.

new day revolution cover New Day Revolution shows you how small changes in your daily routine can make a big difference. Next time you throw out the juice carton, take five seconds to compact it and save space in the landfill, or grab an extra box of crayons for your local school when you buy a box for your child. For people who feel they have little time, this first book from the duo that launched CoolPeopleCare.org gives helpful hints, practical tips, and step by step instructions on how to make a big difference in the local community and the world at-large with whatever time you have. We can't all be Jack Bauer, running down bad guys and defusing bombs - but we can all make an impact where we are with what we've got.

So how do you enter?  It’s easy. Go to The Mad White Woman and leave a comment. DO NOT LEAVE COMMENTS HERE.  YOU MUST LEAVE THEM AT THE MAD WHITE WOMAN.  Extra Entries? Leave a separate comment for each and you’re in!

  • Tweet: @tmww - Green Giveaway  http://bit.ly/kPWsi (leave a comment here that you did so)
  • Follow this blog (leave a comment here that you did so)
  • Digg, Stumble Upon, etc. (leave a comment here that you did so)
  • Post about the giveaway on your blog (leave a comment here that you did so)

Be sure to leave your name and email address so we can notify you if you win! If you do not want your information made public, you can e-mail me directly using the contact form here

Contest ends Thursday, April 23rd and the winner will be announced the morning of Friday, April 24th.  Winner will be drawn at random from all entries by my green helper, Tre, before he’s off to school Friday morning.  He picks a number and, if it’s yours, you win!

Good luck to all and Go Green!

Broken Links

Some of you have contacted me with questions regarding my letters not being available. I apologize for that. I had them hosted at Fateback but for some reason they are not allowing the letters to be downloaded. I am having to reupload them to 4Shared and will make them available as they are finished. I do have a few uploaded already that I was able to find. My external hard drive crashed on me a month or so ago and I lost everything. So if any of you were able to snag the letters before my crash and want to send them to me, I would be eternally grateful!

You can email any TBK Designs or Kammie's Corner letters to me at tbkdesigns @ gmail dot com.

My 2008 Letters are stored HERE and my 2009 Letters are stored HERE.

Collegebound and Info on Scrappy Expressions' Melissa

I finally did it. I just picked up the phone and called Mike at the University of Phoenix and told him, “Sign me up. I’m ready.”

I am now enrolled in the Associate of Arts in Information Technology/Web Design course at the University of Phoenix. My first class starts Monday, April 27, 2009.

I am on my way to a brighter future, a better education, the knowledge and the ability to do something I absolutely love will be in the palm of my hands.

I can’t wait!

I haven’t told TMT yet though. I’m waiting till I get my tuition check first LOL!!!!

In scrapping news...Sunni contacted me today with a question as to whether or not I knew if Melissa had another group or site where she was sharing her work.

She does!

For those of you who enjoyed Melissa's work (Scrappy Expressions Yahoo Group) that she shared in her Yahoo group and were saddened when she closed it down, I have an update for you. She has a blog entitled Sentimental Style where she shares her free and PTU items. So if you've been missing this wonderful scrap kit artist, pop over there and give her some love in her chat box and tell her TBK Designs sent you!

Never Lose Your Favorite Graphics Again!

Tired of computer crashes? Losing important documents? Sick of having to upload batches of files you want to “keep safe” and then having to sit there for hours downloading everything again to your new computer/hard drive?

Me too!

I found this crazy cool company called DropBox that offers 2GB of free storage space with the chance to get increases of 250MB per referral up to 3GB. You can purchase the Pro version of 50GB with a 512MB bonus for $9.99 a month or $99.00 a year, a savings of $20.88.

Best feature? Your files are automatically synced for you. Make a change to one of your files on your computer? DropBox immediately makes the same change to your online file.

YOU select the files you want to store. YOU delete them when you want. Unlike other services that delete your files if they aren’t accessed after a certain time, DropBox does not.

With file storage places such as 4Shared and Rapidshare, you have to download files one at a time after a crash. With DropBox your files are automatically synched when you download the installation file. No more hours wasted sitting in front of the computer downloading one file at a time!!! Files loaded back on your system with the press of a key.

Want to share a file with your friends? Put it in your shared folder and send them the link to download it. Away from home and need to access your files? Done. Need to check something from your mobile phone quick? Done. Don’t have a backup system in place? DropBox can keep all your important documents, images, videos etc. safe and secure, automatically.

You can test out my shared folder by downloading a cute Easter graphic I uploaded to share here.

Thanks for trying DropBox!
